Nicolas Perez Veiga was born in Buenos Aires in December 1981. He is a Film Director member of the D.G.A(Director´s Guild of America), and founder of production company PRIMO with offices in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago de Chile, and Mexico.
During his career, Nicolas won numerous awards at the most prestigious advertising festivals in the world. These awards include 10 Cannes Lions(including 2 gold film lions), 5 Clios, 2 LIAs, and 2 D&AD pencils for best direction, just to name a few. He also received an International Emmy Award Nomination in the category ¨Best Short Form Series¨ for his directorial television debut in 2017.
Nicolas was also voted Best Iberoamerican Director in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2017
In Cannes Lions 2011, Primo obtained the 5th. place of the most awarded companies in the world.
In 2013 the Gunn Report named PRIMO the 4th “Most Awarded Production company in the world¨ and Nicolas obtained the 3rd place in the category “Most Awarded Director in the world”. That same year, Nicolas was part of the Film Craft jury in Cannes Lions.
In April 2015 he was invited by M.I.T and the J.F.K School of Politics to be part of the program ¨Imagining Argentina 2030¨. Where 30 of the most outstanding Entrepreneurs, politicians, artists and communicators from that country gathered all together in Harvard to create a document to improve public policies for the country in the next 15 years.
Nicolas has worked for the some of the most prestigious advertising agencies and production companies In the world, directing films for brands such as: Nike, Audi, Orange, Google, Johnnie Walker, Powerade, Cadbury, T-Mobile, Sony, Vodafone, Guinness, Renault, Axe, Rexona, Toyota, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Citroen, Ikea, Volkswagen, Pepsico, Coca-Cola and Unilever.
In 2017, the time for the long format arrived . He directed his first series titled “OUT THERE” which he also created, wrote, and produced. ¨OUT THERE¨ was produced by ICONOCLAST, PRIMO, and STUDIO+ .The show was nominated by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for ̈Best short form series ̈ at the International Emmy Awards in 2017.
Nicolas is currently represented by Primo in South America and Spain, and by ICONOCLAST in the rest of the world.
